From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting around 12:45 p.m., today, on the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass near Old Humboldt Road.

A male victim was driving south on the Bypass when somone in a red or maroon 4-door Infiniti fired a shot at his vehicle.

The victim’s window was damaged and he suffered minor injuries.

The suspects are described as a black female and black male last scene driving south on the Bypass.

This is an ongoing investigation and no motive has been determined at this time.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477). There will be a cash reward for anyone with information leading to the identification of suspects involved.
