Henderson County, TN – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers (USMS) Violent Fugitive Task Force was involved in an officer-involved shooting resulting in a fatality in the 1000 block of Center Hill Wright Road in the Reagan community of Henderson County.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., marshals were attempting to serve an arrest on a 44-year-old man for failure to appear on multiple felony warrants. In response to a threat posed by the subject, a member of the task force fired a weapon, striking and killing him.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is the lead investigative agency for this incident. The USMS will also conduct an internal review after the state completes its investigation.
As a matter of policy, the USMS will not release the names of deputy marshals involved in shooting incidents, until the conclusion of all investigations. The USMS will have no further comment about TBI’s investigation.
