The Jackson Police Department Major Crimes Unit conducted an underage alcohol operation March 29, 2023, and clerks in six Jackson businesses inside the Jackson City Limits denied informants who were trying to purchase beer illegally.

- South Side Mini Mart, 1939 South Highland Avenue
- Citgo, 1706 South Highland Avenue
- Dollar General, 1692 South Highland Avenue
- A&A One Stop, 1425 South Highland Avenue
- Valero, 309 North Highland Avenue
One store at 405 North Hays Avenue did sell to an underage informant. There were two previous sales at the store – Dec. 18, 2015, and June 26, 2018.
