The West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees approved a resolution to purchase area Tennova healthcare facilities for $67 million, Tuesday.
Community Health Systems, which owns Tennova, announced in early 2018 it was divesting some of its hospitals.
Area Tennova medical facilities include Jackson, Dyersburg, South Fulton, Martin and Halls.
The sale could close by May 31.
