Residents return from church, discover body in their driveway

MADISON Co. Tenn (May 7, 2017) – Sunday morning coming home from church a family discovers a body in the driveway of their residence.

19-year-old Ahniya Bryson, of Milan, was found dead in a driveway on McAbee Road Sunday morning in east Madison County.

Bryson’s death is being investigated as a homicide, said Madison County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tom Mapes.

According to Mapes, Bryson’s body was found around 11:50 a.m.

Her death is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Mapes said Bryson’s body was left in the driveway, but it doesn’t appear that she was killed there.

The Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert for a black Chrysler 300M with 20-inch aftermarket rims, tinted windows and chrome tail lights. The vehicle is believed to be connected to Bryson’s body being left in the driveway, according to Mapes.

Bryson’s body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Stoppers, or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
