From the Jackson Police Department –

The Jackson Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took the life of a pedestrian, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6.

Officers responded to the area of Old Hickory Boulevard and the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass for a pedestrian that was struck by the vehicle and later died as a result of the injuries sustained.

A light blue colored sedan was seen leaving the accident.
