CHESTER Co. Tenn – (May 25, 2017) – An incident that started as a verbal disagreement turned violent.
According to Henderson Police Chief, Wilton Cleveland, Police received a 911 call to the Quality Metal Stamping manufacturing plant around 12:10 a.m.
According to the investigators’ facts of the case, two employees had a verbal altercation and one of the employees left the building then returned with a handgun.
The argument continued briefly before shots were fired.
29-year-old KoKeeta Lake alleged shot a co-worker and then left the scene.
The victim was transported to Jackson and then to Memphis for the injuries.  Police say the victim is in stable condition.
Lake left the scene but then called the police and was told to return to the plant.  She was taken into custody by a Sheriff’s deputy a short distance away.
Kokeeta Lake has been charged with 1 count of Attempted Murder.
