WNWS-FM is expanding its local sports coverage into the collegiate arena with Jackson State Community College Baseball.
More than 25 JSCC baseball games will be streamed live on WNWS.COM with exciting play-by-play by Coleman Smith, co-host of Daybreak 6:00AM – 9:00AM on News/Talk 101.5 FM where you will also be able to hear select Generals games this season.

JSCC is a member of Division 1, Region 7 of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Last season the Generals finished with a record of 34-20 under 6th year coach Tyson Malik.
This is the 50th season for Generals Baseball. The program was instituted in 1968, only a year after JSCC opened in Jackson. Since then JSCC has seen many players come through their program and go on to play at four-year colleges and even professional baseball. One of those was former JSCC General Luis Martinez who made his Major league debut back on July 15th, 2011.
The General’s season begins on February 9th in Fayette, Alabama against Bevill State Community College. The first game to be streamed on WNWS.COM will be on February 18th, a 1:00PM start against Northeast Mississippi Community College.
